Winter Solstice and Integral Health
Winter Solstice, in the northern hemisphere, is the least amount of daylight hours of sunshine. We are very connected beings - Our bodies are attuned to the seasons (however strong or mild) and to Mother Earth, (including the subtle energies that run through the land where we live) whether we are aware of it or not.
Many people suffer from SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) due to lack of sunlight exposure. Remedies include purchasing full-spectrum lighting, so our bodies receive the necessary photonic energies and full spectrum of sunlight. There are many outlets where you can purchase these devices.
We tend to lose our grounding in a general way (wearing synthetic soles, not in contact with Mother Earth) but in winter, less so perhaps because of weather or temperature going outside. Purchasing products from the Earthing Institute such as grounding mats for the home and office help considerably (there is scientific evidence showing the benefits of grounding. A grounding mat can be a sheet for your bed or a floor mat for your feet that is connected to the ground of your duplex outlet. We have both in our home.
Integral Health always is focused on the foundation of our being – that is why the spiritual (subtle energy) is so important to the whole of our health. Integral Health occupies a position in healthcare that is becoming more and more recognized (mind-body-spiri), due to the many teachings of realized spiritual people and scientific advances in assessing and measuring the subtle energy of the human being.
This has established an increasing awareness in the public that we have a dual nature (like two sides of the same coin), a physical body and a spiritual body (that is unique but not limited to space or time). I have been teaching this for over 30 years in my research and thousands of spiritual counseling/therapy sessions.
An Integral Health practitioner is versed in this knowledge, both clinically academically and experientially to assess your inner state of health that affects your physical, mental and emotional states. The practitioner is aware of the season and its effects on our bodies/emotions and each has their own specialty: acupuncture, ayurveda, holistic health, Integrative Chakra Therapy®, Integrative Biofield Healing Arts™, and more practitioners at Bamboo Garden Wellness Center.
Moreover, true Integral Health will offer you the tools for self-care and self-empowerment and therefore assist your optimal health with respect to more than just the physical body. This is where the practitioner attunes to the seasons, the Earth energies, and the subtle energies of you, a Whole Human Being
As the winter solstice is near, emphasize a walk outside, when possible, in full sunlight to feel its soothing effects on your body and mood. In fact, daily allowing 10 minutes of direct sunlight on your forehead (sixth chakra or brow center chakra), is very energizing on a deep level of your being. That chakra is accessing much higher levels of spiritual awareness, and your mere simple focus on that chakra stimulates it in a gentle and safe way.
Be aware of your health needs – see a practitioner who understands the mind-body-spirit, the seasons and subtle energies to assist your building an exceptionally strong foundation of health.
Blessings,
