The Association of Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) San Diego Chapter presents:
A Compassionate Healing Pardigm Workshop
Do you ever wonder why some people seem more resilient and joyous in the face of everyday life and hardship?
Chances are they have a way of relating to themselves that lifts them up even when times are hard, even when they make mistakes, and even when life is a crazy mess all around them.
Self-compassion helps us to cope with the pain of life without being derailed by it. There is a growing body of research demonstrating the potential of self‐compassion to relieve suffering across a range of clinical disorders, including depression and anxiety. It has also been found to meet the challenges of empathic distress and burnout common within helping professions.
In this workshop, Denise Funfar will begin by introducing the transformational research on mindful self-compassion by Kristin Neff and Chris Germer for health and wellbeing. Next, she will expand on this with her own energy psychology methodology for helping clients experience a Compassionate Healing Paradigm.
This very hands-on workshop is sure to leave you with several “aha” moments about how you treat yourself when you’re suffering as well as how to empower yourself and your clients to reach goals and heal old pain in a sustainable way - without getting stuck in the traps of overwhelm, burnout and harsh self-criticism.
What can I expect to learn from this workshop?
• What is mindful self-compassion and how can it benefit me and my clients?
• How self-compassionate am I and why does it matter?
• What tools are available for being more compassionate to myself?
• How can I reach my goals while boosting my happiness and building wellbeing?
• How does self-compassion impact the healing relationship with my clients?
• How can self-compassion help with the empathic distress and burnout that often accompany helping professions?
• How can a compassionate healing paradigm positively impact the practitioner and the client?
